About Jason Hector
(by Jason Ian Hector, REALTOR® | 10/15/2015) As a real estate broker, the most common thing people ask me is "How is the real estate market doing?".  With this in mind, I have created this "Market Insights" section below.

Market Insights

  • Inventory levels are still low in 2015 with is the main cause of prices increasing.  Standard sales are outnumbering short sales and foreclosures with lower priced homes selling much quicker than higher priced homes.
Helping homeowners with mortgage difficulties still is the major portion of my business right now. With values having risen over the last several months, some homeowners have been able to come out with some equity or at least mitigate some of their losses in equity.  I am glad to report that the HAFA Short Sale Program, which now pays the homeowner a $10,000 relocation assistance if qualified, has been extended meaning that if the borrower has submitted a request for consideration for a short sale on or before pre-approval of a HAFA short sale, written request for approval of an executed sales contract on or before December 31, 2016 and the transaction closing date is on or before September 30, 2017.

What makes me different?
  • Advocating for clients meaning showing clients how to use programs like HAFA which offer incentives and protections to homeowners.  Another tool I use is the escalation / complaint process when necessary to help the transaction when necessary.
  • Going the extra mile! Transactions can be difficult and challenging at time, especially short sale and probate transactions because you are dealing with financial hardships, family issues, possible eligibility for government programs, tenant issues, lender issues...I can go on but the point is that you need someone who is willing to go the extra mile in helping homeowners get through difficult situations.
